Meet Kristin Canedo -
Anxiety & OCD Therapist
You are ready to feel confident in your own skin.
You remember a time whenever anxiety, self-doubt, and intrusive thoughts weren’t your norm, but those days are getting further and further away.
You’ve come to the right place to learn the tools for change.
Hi there, I’m Kristin.
I work with individuals like you - those who are ready to thrive but need the right support to reach their full potential. I guide my clients in building confidence, calm, and self-compassion, equipping them with the tools to ease their anxious mind and nurture a stronger sense of inner peace.
With my education and training in clinical mental health counseling, I bring the expertise you need and deserve in therapy. But I also bring in the deep understanding of what it means to live with a heaviness day-to-day.
I’ve been there -
stuck in the cycle of constant overthinking, second-guessing every decision, and never feeling fully at ease. As someone who’s struggled with overthinking and perfectionism, I truly grasp the grip that anxiety and self-doubt can have on your life.
I know that it often feels like trapped in a loop you can’t break free from, no matter how hard you try, but it doesn’t have to stay that way. So, when we work together, you won’t just have a trained therapist; you’ll have someone who truly understands your struggles and is committed to helping you create meaningful, lasting change.
Key Parts of Therapy with Me -
-
ACCEPTANCE & CHANGE
Even though my clients may want to change the behaviors that are no longer working for them, I encourage curiosity and compassion in order to make the long-term changes wanted without judgment.
-
HUMOR
Insights, feelings, and new experiences are byproducts of therapy. But therapy can also mean laughter, jokes, relief, bursts of AHA moments, and excitement that you are moving toward a more authentic self.
-
AUTHENTICITY
I don’t expect my clients to show up authentically if I am not willing to do the same. I bring my authentic self into the therapy room in order to create a sense of connection and trust.
So, what do sessions with me look like?
First, We begin by exploring what’s bringing you to therapy right now, taking time to uncover both the internal and external triggers behind your feelings of anxiety or self-doubt.
Next, we'll identify practical tools you can implement outside of our sessions to ease your symptoms. Then, we’ll take a deeper dive to uncover the root causes of your uneasiness and anxiety, gently releasing the emotional weight you have been carrying.
With our work together, you’ll silence your inner critic, feel mentally grounded, and cultivate tools that stay with you.
I see therapy as a collaborative journey - one where we work side by side to let go of beliefs that are holding you back, unhelpful thought patterns, and any barriers between you and your full potential.
